Here is a summary of the four day event
Day 1:
The invocation of Lord Venkateswara at Lakshmi Venkateswara Temple has started with punyahavachanam of the Yagashala and the Sanidhis. It was followed by Netronmeelananm (opening eyes) of the deities, Diksha charna and Ankuraropana of Navadhanyam.
Day 2:
The invocation of Lord Venkateswara at Lakshmi Venkateswara Temple has started with punyahavachanam of the Yagashala and the Sanidhis. It was followed by Netronmeelananm (opening eyes) of the deities, Diksha charna and Ankuraropana of Navadhanyam.
With the divine grace of lord Srinivasa Day 2 of the Invocation of lord Lakshmi Venkateswara began with Agnimathanam ( churning of natural fire from wood), Agni Pratishtha,
Kumbha Avahanam (invoking all the dieties in to the kalasas where they will be worshipped and then transferred to the dieties ) Dieties were purified with pancha Gavyam ( five products of Cow). Milk and water.
Dieties were energised with Dhanyadhivasa (Grains), Dhanadhivasa (money), Phaladhivasa (with fruits) and Pushpadhivasa ( with Flowers) Honorable Minister of Endowments, Government of Andhra pradesh, shri P. Manikyala Rao attented the Adhivasa rituals.
Evening rituals were followed by Carnatic concert by Shri Ganesh Rajagopalan (of Ganesh Kumaresh fame)
Day 3:
The day started with pooja to the Kalasas. It was followed by offering of navaratnas in the Peetham. The morning concluded with placing the Deities on the Peetham.
The evening started with Mahasanti Homam and abhishekam (Tirumanjanam). After the abhishekam, Venkeshwara Urchavam (procession) was performed in the temple complex. The highlight of the evening was the Sayana adhivsam for the Lord. Flowers and fruits are offered to the Lord by beautifully arranging them around a special bed and a pleasant atmosphere (music & dance) is created for His yoga-nidra.
Day 4:
The day started with first Suprabhatam for the Lord. The crowd was eagerly waiting for first glimpse of the Lord. After 4 days of waiting, there he was. Lord Venkateswara was majestic, beautiful and mesmerizing. The most arresting feature of the Lord is the permeating aura of an overpowering sense of divinity. Almost everyone has tears in their eyes and felt they were in Tirumala. Govinda!!!!!!!!!!
