This is a biased argument. It is favoring the rules of parenting made by a foreign county. I believe the government of Norway has to take into consideration, the Foreign Parents Knowledge towards parenting in Norway. They can promote parenting training or some kind of minimal punishment(Monitored Community service involving children groups) specially for non-immigrants rather than sending them to jail and leave the child abandoned for the jail period. Sending them to jail does not only imprint a negative impression on child's mind but also makes the kid tough to get along with their parents after coming out of prison. I completely agree that rules are to be followed, but laws can always be amended and rewritten depending on certain situation and consequence.
