Kinnari, You're right ! Indian Kids are groomed well as better humans, rather than nurtured with hypocrisy in India. Raising children in India isn't all rosy as it seems to be. All they do is ego, cast, creed and above all suppressing their individuality. For resident Indians, children are the show-piece of their status...Virtues are virtues! may it be American or Indian-American!
yes Kinnari! Indian kids can be groomed as better humans in their adopted land. I'm a second-generation Indian too and I know, how children turn out to be the balanced individuals. Why don't they stop looking down at Americans?after-all they are humans as we are!On the other hand, it's hard to imagine bringing up children as the showpiece of family's status in India. Who cares about the hypocrisy "auntyji", "uncle" or "didi"? Virtues are virtues. Respecting them will help better.
Hey Kinnari! You know, you're right. I’m a second-generation Indian too.I don't feel any inhibitions. If they feel so uncomfortable, why couldn't they explore the brighter sides? How nice it will be when our friends from India are broad-minded? You know I find that there are chances of grooming Indian kids into great humans in the USA, rather than in India. Firstly, it's important to respect humans, which doesn't happen in India. It’s all about cast, creed, and treating your children as a showpiece of your status. You don't have to jus tag someone as "Didi" or "uncle" or "auntiji". Remember that even Americans are made of flesh and blood like us. Who cares about "mera bharat mahan!" kind of hypocrisy! Virtues are virtues!

very good.you will write about our olden age swayamvara. It was a great thing. the persons who are willing to marry the girl will attend the swayamvara hall. But the girl will choose whoever she likes. In the middle of the past centuries the arranged marriages came. But now somany families allow their children to choose their couple. But the youngsters will be more responsible for choosing their spouse. First they will determine that it is a real love with same thoughts likings habbits or it is a infatuation.
