It is common in South Indian Cinema where fans go crazy once the release date of their favorite star’s film is approaching fast. One of the most noted stars in Tamil Cinema, actor Ajith Kumar who is called as ‘Thala’ by his fans is all set with his next flick Vedhalam.
It has to be mentioned that the director of the film is Siva for whom this is the second film with actor Ajith Kumar after Veeram (2014). The teaser of Vedhalam was released on 8th of this month and unlike other Ajith movie’s teaser which would look stunning and stylish; this one looked like a spoof.
The dialogue ‘Kanna Moochi rae rae, Kandupudi yaaru’ (Phrase used while kids play Ice boys game) which appears to be the voice over of Ajith at the beginning of the teaser is sure to bring out bursting laughter. Yet other dialogue that has gone viral is the one that Ajith shouts at the end of the teaser Therikavidalamaa (Can we spray it around???...)
Music for the film is crooned by ‘Rock Star’ Anirudh. The audio release of the film is scheduled to happen tomorrow before which the track list was released yesterday followed by a song teaser that was out today at 12.am.
There is a buzz surrounding the story of the film saying that Ajith Plays the role of a car driver in the film at Kolkata and Lakshmi Meneon who plays the sister role of Ajith in the film gets murdered by a big mafia gang in Kolkata. Therefore, the innocent Car Driver Ajith is consumed by a Spirit and takes revenge on the mafia gang.
Speculation is that, Ajith plays dual role in the film, the Ghost and Normal Man. So is it a horror flick? That’s what looks evident after watching the teaser and the news that is spreading around. The film is produced by S. Aishwarya under A.M. Rathnam’s banner Sri Sai Ram Creations.
Other cast in Vedhalam includes Shruthi Hassan, Soori, Vidyullekha Raman, Aniket Chouhan and Kabir Singh. The film is scheduled for 2015 Diwali release.
‘Ulaga Nayagan’ Kamal Hassan’s Thoongavanam is also scheduled for this Diwali release. OK. Box office would be thinking by now, who is going to fill me fast??
