Revolver Rani Review
Releasing in the theatres on April 25th, Kangana Ranaut’s Revolver Rani is creating quite the buzz. Falling under the Bollywood comedy genre, Revolver Rani revolves around the “trying to make a hero out of a heroine” concept.
Directed by Sai Kabir, Revolver Rani is a black comedy political film that features Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das in lead roles and Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra and Pankaj Saraswat in supporting roles.
Revolver Rani Plot…
Narrates EntertainmentOneIndia… “In the land of Chambal, the land of rebels, politicians, bullets and blood, you either live by the gun or die by the gun. Revolver Rani is set in this hostile world where there are no friends; only enemies and fragile alliances that aim straight for the head. But sometimes you go straight to the heart instead of taking the lives of the enemies. Revolver Rani is a satirical; it’s about Alka Singh played by Kangna Ranaut, the leader of a political party, and her obsessive love for Rohan Mehra played by Vir Das, a rising star of Bollywood. Revolver Rani has a very unique story ever before in Bollywood. This film will bring that story to the viewers what would happen if a political giant fell in love with a Bollywood star and then had to protect himself from her enemies.”
Revolver Rani Performance…
Having impressed us all as the girl next door in ‘Queen’, Kangana hasn’t failed as a rogue politician with a quirky dressing sense.
Reviews Rediff … “Vir Das struggles to fit into the role of Rohan Kapoor. All you see is the actor -comedian as characters from some of his previous films. Piyush Mishra shines as Alka’s Mama - a ruthless politician who must choose between his politics and his prodigy when push comes to shove. But the actor to look out for in this film is Mishkka Singh as Payal Parhihar, the news anchor onSagat Samachar, who is a potent blend of shayari and breaking news.
