Puli Steps Back And The Gates Are Opening!

When the deers in the forest are aware of the news that tigers are holding back for a while, it begins to survive without any hesitation and that is exactly the situation in Kollywood as the much awaited film of the year Puli starring ‘Illayathalapathy’ Vijay extended its release date two weeks ahead. It was earlier stated that the film will release on September 17^th, on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi as mentioned in the previous article regarding Puli’s trailer release. The stupendous trailer became the second most liked trailer of all the Indian films with 70k likes in just two days and the views are crossing millions.

The final release date of the film is on 1^st of October; confirmed via the official twitter handle of the producers SKT Studios. Once this news is leaked out, the other small budget films in the industry grabbed this opportunity to release their film on September 17^th.

G.V. Prakash kumar, the music director turned actor/producer announced his next film’s release Trisha Illana Nayanthara on the date left by Puli.

The next one is Sivakarthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan that is waiting for its release after few litigation problems which got sorted out recently, however it’s not been announced officially yet.

It has to be noted that the director of Rajini Murugan is Ponram, who is also the director of Sivakarthikeyan’s cult comedy film Varutha Padatha Vallibar Sangam. Already the song Yennama Ippidi Panringalae ma sung by the music director of the film Imman created waves among the audience.

G.V. Prakash Kumar’s Trisha Illana Nayanthara has the debut director Adhik Ravichandran and even in this film the song Bit Padam di sung by the music director G.V. Prakash Kumar is a chartbuster among the youngsters.

Until now there are only these two films that are gearing up for its release on September 17^th. So, we have to wait and see if there are any other flicks going to hit the screens on the festival occasion.

Well, as we talk about Puli’s postponement of its release, the reasons behind the decision are the pending VFX and CG works. As intimated in the previous article, the film has the biggest names working in the departments of CG and VFX.

The hash tag PuliToRoarFromOctober1st started trending nationwide in social medias celebrating the release news of the film.

For a renowned star like ‘Illayathalapathy’ Vijay, missing a festival release is not a big deal as only the release date of the star’s film seems to be the real festival for his booming fan base. On the other side, growing actors will be on cloud nine if their film is set to release on a special occasion like Ganesh Chathurthi without any big releases.

Therefore, the producers of the films that are looking to sneak on September 17^th might be expressing their gratitude as, ‘Thank you’ Puli.
