Festivals are meant to celebrate on its occasion, but there are few occasions that are celebrated more than a usual festival among the fans of the most revered stars. Yes, undisputedly he is one of those stars who’d place all of his fans on cloud nine with his mere presence on the screen – ‘Ilayathalapathi’ Vijay. His much awaited film Puli directed by Chimbudevan, who is known for fantasy adventures, is all set to rave worldwide with its first theatrical trailer on 20 of this week.
The first look teaser of the film which was released on 21st June at 2pm has crossed more than 2M views within 45hours. Followed by the record breaking views, the music of the film crooned by Devi Sri Prasad was released on August 2 and the song sung by Vijay ‘Yendi yendi’ is already a chartbuster. It was reported earlier that the film’s CG work is on full swing in 12 different countries and the men behind the renowned Hollywood flicks are also said to be a part of it.
Chimbudevan’s previous ventures include Arai En 305il Kadavul, Imsai Arasan 23am pulikesi, Irrumbukottai Muratu Singam and Oru Kanniyum Moondru Kalavaniyum, all belong to Fantasy mixed with historical comedy genre. While Puli also follows the same genre, which is said to be an action adventure fantasy, the shade is new for Vijay. Though his look in the film doesn’t seem to be different from the actor’s usual one, the secret behind the look is really logical, revealed the sources and there is also a buzz that Vijay’s character in the film is carried out from a time machine.
The fans are already in the frenzy mood once the information about the trailer was officially declared by the producers side, SKT studios. The film features Vijay in a dual role with the group of extremely well known cast including Sudeep, Prabhu, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Nandita.
Undoubtedly Puli will showcase Vijay in a brand new avatar and sources said that it will be the benchmark for the actor who is known as the box office king in the industry. Let’s wait for the glimpse of the show by ‘Illayathalapathi’s Puli’ and the rest will be the history.
