Vijay Sethupathy and Ramya Nambeesan in Pizza
Oct 24, 2012: Check out any successful thriller movie, and you will find one thing in common – the ability to maintain the suspense right to the very end. And, Pizza, the most recent horror flick from Kollywood has achieved just that. The movie is a sure thriller, with the right combination of creepy sound effects, chilling screenplay, impressive background score, and clever camera work.
The story is about a pizza delivery boy, Michael (Vijay Sethupathy) and his live-in partner Anu (Ramya Nambeesan), who loves writing stories on ghosts. An unplanned pregnancy of Anu forces Michael to marry her. He also realises that his boss’s daughter is possessed by a spirit. Michael experiences the creepiest moments of his when he visits a posh bungalow to deliver pizza. The remaining story is about his encounters with the sprits in the haunted house, and bizarre events that pave way for a gripping climax.
After his successful earlier venture 'Attakathi', the producer C V Kumar has done well in offering such quality, although on a modest budget.
Both Vijay Sethupathy and Ramya Nambeesan have played their parts well, especially in the spine-chilling scenes. Major highpoints of the movie include the rousing background score by Santosh Narayanan and the chilling sound effects.
Overall, Pizza is worth the watch for horror fans who are eager to enjoy a scary good time.
