Releasing today, Imtiaz Ali’s Higway seems to be a slow, yet deeply enjoyable ride. Capturing the highs and lows of a journey, Highway is the Bollywood drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Watch the Trailer …
Starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda in the lead, Highway was one of 2014’s most expected movies. The plot revolves around Veera (Alia Bhatt), the daughter of a rich industrialist, who is set to tie the knot. At this point her life takes an unexpected turn. She gets kidnapped by a gang of dacoits, lead by Randeep Hooda. To her surprise the journey helps her come out of her current circumstances and enjoy the journey called life.
Taking us along the breathtaking landscapes of Ajmer, Sambhar, Bikaner, Faridkot, Rampur, Pahlgam, Kaza and Aru, Highway offers “a sensitive, understated entertainer.”
Reviews India Tv… “Alia, with her second flick devotes the energy required. She is self-centered and evokes some true emotion. Randeep on his part appears to be a viable goon but it’s not one of his best performances so far. A R Rahman’s music though is peppy and brilliant but we are still missing his ‘Rockstar’ magic, which won him applauds from all over. His background score makes the sceneries look more beautiful. At last it could be said that this ‘Highway’ has similar old roads which one would avoid travelling again and again.”
Highway - an unmistakable Imtiaz Ali stamp.
