Do you believe in omens, fate and luck, all that is concerned with time? If you ask me the same question, I would simply say that it is hypothetical. Well, going on those lines, everything seems to work perfectly and in favor of Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan.
Recently his name was included in the list of prominent personalities for the approval of special privileges in US immigration clearance.
And now, the star had been conferred with honorary doctorate degree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Shah Rukh was honored with the doctorate for his contribution to film and his Philanthropic work.
Shah Rukh said ‘I really didn’t expect this and feel that I would like to go back and say ‘This is not happening’. I don’t know if I deserve this or not and I think I have to work harder after this, so that at least I deserve this in retrospect. At this moment, I feel extremely grateful and humbled’.
Life and I
The actor was extremely open and candidly answered the question that was asked to him at the ceremony. Here are few snippets of it,
‘People say that actors extremely love themselves and they are self-obsessed. I don’t understand that. If I love myself to that extent, then I wouldn’t wake up in the morning and be someone else like Rahul, Raj and other such characters. Actors don’t love themselves that’s what I meant, when I said that’.
‘I’ve been working continuously, doing different characters and you know when you become a star you have to keep people entertained. They expect entertainment 24*7. I’m just doing that’
‘The only time I feel as myself is when I am with my kids. Otherwise I’m quiet’
He also talked about his recent activities on social causes and the prospects of developing it into something big.
Having a conversation with BBC’s Shabnam Mahmood, SRK spoke about the different opinions of gender equality and living with fame in the industry in his own subtle and diplomatic style.
Awe! SRK now owns a huge set of collaterals to prove that he can make some healthy movements in the Indian Film industry and in social developments in our country. Kudos DR. Shah Rukh Khan.
