While the age of technology is creeping fast, even a layman has all the efficiency to afford the latest inventions on his own cost. Global exposure is the primary reason for this flourishing change in today’s world. Applying the same concept in films, times were gone where only masala movies click among the audience. Film-making space is widened where film-makers go beyond the cliché formula to write out of the box scripts in Kollywood and well, it does great business at the box office.
Today’s Kollywood trend is completely occupied with the first look posters of actor Suriya’s upcoming flick 24 with director Vikram K Kumar. The film is touted to be a Sci-fi entertainer that casts Samantha and Nithya Menon in the leading roles along with Suriya. 24 is produced under Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment in combination with K.E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green productions.
Of the two first look posters released, one project Suriya with a typical french beard, wearing a stylish blazer with a gun on his right hand at the backdrop of an inferno set up.
The other poster resembles a robotic Suriya with numerous encrypted codes and formulas at its backdrop.
The posters went viral in Social Medias and Suriya fans are all praise for its splendid design. Apparently 24 is a new genre for Suriya in his career and his association with director Vikram K Kumar brings in more attention. Vikram K Kumar’s previous flick Yavarum Nalam with actor Madhavan in 2009 was the talk of the town. The film unveiled a new style of horror to the Tamil film audience.
Music for 24 is composed by academy award winner A.R. Rahman while ‘Kaviperarasu’ Vairamuthu and his son Madhan Karky have been roped in to cover the lyrics department. The cinematography for 24 is taken care of by Kiran Deohans.
After the disappointment of previous two flicks Anjaan and Mass, Suriya would be desperately in need of a break through with 24.
It has to be mentioned that 24 will hit the screens in summer 2016 before which Pandiraj’s Pasanga-2 is lined up for release.
