Anushka Shetty
October 29, 2012: Anushka Shetty, who recently courted controversy by employing a make-up artist that is not a member of Make Up Artist Union, has prolonged the problem by doing the make-up on her own, according to sources.
During the shooting of Karthi's Alex Pandian, people from the makeup union of Kollywood protested against the actress for appointing a make-up artist from another state, and insisted that Anushka’s makeup artist should register her name in their guild. According to reports, Anushka Shetty had stood by the side of her make-up artist when she was reproached by Tamil Film Workers Union.
However, the movie’s hero Karthi arbitrated and requested Anushka's make-up artist to leave the sets. Hurt by the incident, the actress broke to tears, sources say. Also, Anushka is now doing the make-up part on her own and has not hired anyone for the job.
