Weekend Fun In Dallas

It's beautiful outside Dallas!! Thinking of doing something fun this weekend? I got you covered! I am talking about The Dallas Zoo, Fort Worth Botanical Garden, Fort Worth Stockyards Station and dancing to some Desi beats with DJ Notorious!!!

Dallas Zoo-

For your little ones Dallas Zoo is hosting the second annual Kid To Do on Saturday, June 1, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

This year's event, themed, "Party Safari," will take place in the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo, Giants of Savanna, Cat Green, and other popular areas of the Dallas Zoo. The block party style event offers kid-friendly fare and features exciting entertainment such as bounce houses, DJ, face painting, and arts and crafts as well as unique animal encounters, a private bird show in the Wildlife Amphitheater, and much, much more!

Fort Worth Botanical Garden –

Plan a picnic! This beautiful Botanic Garden is the best getaway from the busy life of Dallas. Its the oldest botanic garden in Texas, is a lush 110-acre tapestry of dappled shade and vibrant splashes of color. A peaceful haven nestled in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District; the Garden is home to over 2,500 species of native and exotic plants that flourish in its 23 specialty gardens. Don’t forget to visit the Japanese garden. That would be the highpoint for your trip. It makes you forget that you’re in Dallas. I have got two words for this place serene and picturesque.

Fort Worth Stockyards Station –

A great place to bring out of Towner’s or go yourself, as there is plenty to do and see. There are always events going on such as concerts, rodeos, and history reenactments. Go on, throw on a cowboy hat and enjoy the sights. Located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards, its an exciting blend of old and new with Historic Walking Tours that visit the Texas Trail of Fame, The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, Cattle drive that gives a glimpse into the Fort Worth's rich western heritage, Challenging maze and more, over 25 unique shops including a winery, art gallery and great restaurants that offer anything from ribs to enchiladas.
