DJ at DJ Shahrukh, Shahrukh Syed is a hardcore DJ and event organizer; he directs a company that provides entertainment and lighting service for a wide variety of events and parties. Shahrukh Syed is now busy with his company’s upcoming ANTUNS New Year’s Eve Extravaganza. We had the opportunity to ask him a few questions and the following is an account of feedback we gathered from him.

What’s the main attraction of your party?

In Long Island there are not many good parties so we are trying to attract people who live on long island who usually hesitate to go to New York City because its long commute.  NYC is known for good parties but we are here to let people know that we could bring NYC to Long Island and party Bollywood style.

What kind of crowd do you generally expect?

We are expecting all types of people since Bollywood and Punjabi music is pretty popular. We want to promote culture in different communities while bringing them all together in one place.

What do you think is more important for an event like this? Music or Food or Drinks or Venue and why?

In this case everything is important to everyone. Some people go out to hear good music, some go out to enjoy good food, many just go out for networking while having a drink and some just enjoy everything including the venue.  Antuns is owned by new management and they have renovated the whole place and their service is upgraded as well.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen happen at a NYE’s party?

People consume too much alcohol and passing out is pretty normal. I’ve also seen guys fighting over girls. And just to avoid such things, we are trying to make this event a family friendly affair.

What’s your NYE resolution?

I have a couple. Mainly to have great relationships with everyone especially with people who are in the same profession as I am in. And also, to do good in business, make more good music, bring more good parties around Long Island area and lastly work out and stay healthy.

Anything else you’d like to add about your party?

This is our first open house party and we are offering tons of things. We are looking for groups who can't go out because of many reasons. We’re offering good group discount and lastly we are just not here for business we are here to entertain people and have good relationship with them and introduce new products in town.
