Florida man faces murder charge

Brooke Preston, a 21 year old student was brutally stabbed after an emotional hug by her roommate Randy Herman. Preston was stabbed not once but multiple times at West Palm Beach home last week. She came in to pick a few of her things after relocating owing to the unusual behavior of her roommate Randy Herman. Brooke Preston and Randy Herman both attended the Pennsylvania High School. Later, both resided as roommates in a South Florida Apartment.

Randy Herman drove Preston’s car to a nearby park, where he phoned authorities and admitted his crime. His conversation was “Someone’s been murdered”, (with tears) “Just send the Police. It was me. I’m Sorry.” Police later reported that the accused Randy Herman was covered with blood and also had a cut on his wrist when they arrived. But Preston’s case was more of aggressive injuries on her back, throat and abdomen followed by few defensive scratches and injuries to her hands.

According to reports, Randy Herman’s father was also accused of killing his girlfriend way back in 2015. He took it to himself and ended his own life before the authorities could land on the spot.
