October 9, 2017: After raising the buzz with first look posters, the makers of Padmavati have now released a trailer to give a peek into the film’s leading characters.
The clip takes us back to the life and times of Rani Padmini of the 14th century. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is famously known for his magnificent film sets, has now brought back the fort of Chittor to life onscreen in all its glory!
There is also an intro on the three leading characters: Rani Padmini, Alauddin Khilji and Maharawal Ratan Singh.
We don’t see much of dialogues in this trailer -- the focus is more on the BGM, the extravagant sets and histrionic prowess of the actors.
Buzz is that the movie will revolve around the clash between the Rajputs and the Khilji dynasty.
Fans on Social media have already gone into a frenzy after the release of posters depicting Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. Now, the release of Padmavati Trailer has further raised anticipation for the film’s release.
Padmavati is set to hit screens on December 1.
