October 3, 2017: Malayalam actor Dileep was given bail by the Kerala High Court on Tuesday in the case of hiring a gang to abduct and assault an actress to settle a personal score.
Six people, including wellknown Malayalam actor Dileep and main accused 'Pulsar' Suni, were arrested in the case connected to the incident in which an actress was allegedly abducted and molested in her car on February 17.
Justice Sunil Thomas granted the bail after imposing strict conditions, including surrendering of Dileep’s passport, Rs 1 lakh deposit and two solvent sureties in the like amount. Other conditions include presenting himself before the investigators as and when required and not tampering with evidence.
The Justice added that the probe on Dileep was in the final stages and his further custody was not required.
Malayalam actor Dileep, whose bail plea was rejected five time earlier, may finally be able to catch his breath. Last week, the HC had rejected his plea saying that the actor might influence the case if he gets bail.
