October 20, 2017: Social media is flooded with stories on glamorous Diwali bashes of Bollywood celebs. While most of the celebrities were busy attending Diwali bashes in Mumbai and other big cities, Kangana Ranaut decided to have a low-key Diwali this year. The gorgeous Bollywood Diva reached her home in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate a quiet Diwali with her sister Rangoli Chandel and family.
Pics of the national award-winning actress decorating her rangoli with diyas have already gone viral on social media.
Rangoli posted these pics with Kangana and added the caption, “#childhoodmemories #parentshouse #Himachal enjoying every bit of the day!!! Happy Diwali.”
Giving a peek into the Diwali decorations, Rangoli Chandel also poked fun at Kangana and her mother Asha Ranaut. She wrote, “And some people r jst bsy posing for the picture #nocontribution #HappyDiwali.”
In a different development, the hashtag ‘Kanganatoo’ has started trending on social media (referring to Kangana Ranaut). This was triggered by the Me too campaign, which got started after actresses revealed how they were abused by Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein. Kangana Ranaut is among the many Bollywood celebs who have now opened up about their shocking experiences and supported the protest against sexual harassment of women in the film business.
“It’s a deliberate stand that I have taken against issues that I strongly condemn, issues like physical abuse, exploitation, sexual harassment and pay disparity. I am prepared for all the fights that would come my way,” Kangana said in a statement. “I know like-minded individuals, my well wishers worry about me, but we need to know that it's not going to be easy. I am super thrilled that I can use my voice and position for significant causes and I assure everyone that nothing will stop me from doing that.”
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut has director Krish’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in the offing. Also starring Ankita Lokhande, Sonu Sood and Atul Kulkarni, Manikarnika is set to hit screens on April 27, 2017.
