January 17, 2018: Emraan Hashmi has come a long way since his early days in Bollywood when he was mostly referred to as the industry’s serial kisser. He is now looking toward focusing more attention on picking mature and challenging roles that make a social impact or have a social message to offer.
The actor hasn’t been idle for long, but his fans are already keen to check out his next film. And Emraan, who last appeared in Baadshaho, hasn’t disappointed. He is all set for the highly anticipated Cheat India.
The film will put the focus on the dark side of the education system, which is apparently spawning anxiety, greed, tussle and heavy competition among the youth.
Emraan posted a tweet with a snap, featuring him and the other producers of the film. And soon, the title ‘Cheat India’ started trending on social media.
The actor, who has jointly bankrolled the film with T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment, said Cheat India is one of the most engaging and riveting scripts that he has witnessed in a long time and it will be a landmark role in his film career.
The upcoming drama thriller, which is said to be inspired by real-life events, will be helmed by Soumik Sen.
Touted as a film very relevant to today’s youth who are under heavy pressure to excel in a fiercely competitive world, Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India is gearing up for its worldwide release in February 2019.
