An Indian-origin woman was allegedly racially abused by an African-American man in the US on February 23. In addition to using some badly chosen words, the man shouted “get out of here” during a trip on a local train.
A New York resident, Ekta Desai took a video of the whole drama which has now gone viral after getting posted on the website ‘The Voice Raiser’.
The video shows the man hurling expletives and telling her to “get out of here.” He is even seen talking about “Black Power.”
Desai has revealed that she took the matter to the cops, who allegedly asked her to be careful, adding that the man seems to be “emotionally unstable.”
In USA, there has been a widespread increase in such xenophobic and racist incidents of late. Two Indian techies were shot by a 51 year old US Navy veteran named Adam Purinton on February 22 in Kansas.
32 year old Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla was killed in the ghastly attack, while Alok Madasani was injured.
Opening fire, Adam Purinton yelled, “get out of my country,” sending the Indian-American community into a state of shock.
