India and Pakistan have always been vicious rivals, be it cricket grounds or battle fields. In spite of poor diplomatic relations, these two nations do find common ground in their passion for cricket. India Vs Pakistan matches make for some of the most unforgettable and nail-biting face-offs in cricket history.
The two nations have stopped playing two-sided cricket series owing to diplomatic concerns. But the excitement over their participation in bigger international tournaments remains feverish as ever.
Indians have done well against Pakistan in most of the World Cup matches. The recent World T20 2016 tournament was won by India against Pakistan at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. India also had the better of Pakistan in World Cup 2015. Yet, Pakistan has proved its mettle time and again in the Champions Trophy matches. They in fact defeated India on a couple of occasions - in 2004 and 2009. That’s why all eyes are now on the upcoming Champions Trophy match in England between India and Pakistan on June 4. The archrivals are placed in the same group along with South Africa and Sri Lanka.
To raise the excitement even further, Star Sports has now let out an uproarious promo video. A successful entrepreneur is seen adopting Buddhism and giving up all his prized possessions in the process. However, he falls into temptation after catching a glimpse of an India vs Pakistan poster. After all, he is not quite ready to let go of life’s little pleasures.
