Fashion Chat With TheGirl@FirstAvenue

On my search for some of India’s best fashion bloggers I came across the TheGirl@FirstAvenue. Ever since then I’ve become an ardent follower of “The Girl’s” fashion styles and blogs, both fashion wise and virtually.

Starting the TheGirl@FirstAvenue as a personal blog, “The Girl” went on and gave her blog a makeover and changed it to a fashion and lifestyle blog” that ‘now regularly features TheGirl’s personal style and whimsical musings.’

 I had the pleasure of catching up with her. Here’s what’s the style outcome of my “Fashion Chat with TheGirl@FirstAvenue”

Being girls, our Fashion sense is always on the higher octave. But to be a fashion blogger or a fashion guru, something somewhere must have triggered it all off... So how did it all start…? What was your inspiration to become a fashion blogger - a fashion guru…?

My inspiration mostly came from reading other fashion blogs and from street-style. I’ve always had a passion for creativity & styling and the fact that I could now share it on a platform with like-minded people gave me the push to start my own blog.

Who do u look up to in the fashion world… Can be designers, friends, celebrities or anyone...

First would be street-style. I love browsing through street-style blogs. I find them very original, inspiring and hub for creative ideas.

According to you, who is the best celeb or filmy fashion icon when it comes to fashion styles and pulling it off the right way…

I’ve recently been loving Blake Lively’s styles – both red carpet looks and street style. Closer home it would be Deepika or Sonam

Of all the styles and trendy looks that you have blogged about which is your favorite look... Tell us something about it…

Blogging helped get out of my comfort zone and experiment with various kinds of looks but I always come back to my favorite casual look – skinny jeans and a tshirt with a shirt/jacket thrown over it.

Which would you pick as the most exciting fashion trend today?

Maxi/midi skirts are still holding strong as a top trend. I guess they are comfortable and so flattering to all body types that people are determined to make this trend stay! Another trend am really loving right now is of colored and reflective sunglasses.

What’s your take on men’s fashion – What is the one tip that u will give out to all the men when it comes to fashion and dressing up.

I feel men are usually hesitant to experiment when it comes to fashion. I think switching things up a bit, trying something new; adding a bit of color would make a world of a difference!
