Oct 23 2017: AR Rahman is gearing up to do a live show with his troupe in Burj Park, Dubai on October 27 for the audio launch of Rajinikanth starrer 2.0. Reportedly, the makers of 2.0 have splurged a whopping Rs. 12 crore on the audio launch.
The other lead actors of the film Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson are also set to attend the grand event. Buzz is that Amy Jackson will do a dance performance to bring down the curtain on the show.
As usual, expectations have skyrocketed for the film’s audio, as it marks the return of the Shankar-AR Rahman combination, which has been instrumental in producing numerous hit albums.
Akshay Kumar is making his Kollywood debut with 2.0. Rajinikanth is playing the double role of Chitti - The Robot and Dr. Vaseegaran in the film.
Amy, who plays the film’s heroine, tweeted recently that the film’s shoot has been completed. She wrote, “Aaaand that’s a wrap for 2.0. The past 2 and a half years have been an absolute rollercoaster… but the outcome will knock ya socks offf!”
Touted to be the most expensive film ever made in India with a budget of over Rs 4.5 billion, Lyca Productions’ 2.0 is being filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil in 3D and is set to hit screens on January 25 next year in 15 languages.
