What does this terrain become of? It wasn’t new, but this country has become the most dangerous place for women and children. “Every 4 seconds, a girl is sexually abused by her grandfather /uncle/ neighbors in India”. I don’t say that it was divine in its past! Nowadays, I cannot elude worrying about the plight of women and children in this country.
Some might be infuriated at this post, but would they be able to stand up for this culture, when their girls become the prey of arrogance of this ethos?
No foreign influence made this for sure. If that’s the case our ethos wouldn’t have adhered ‘child marriage’ ‘puberty ceremony’ and ‘Manu Smriti marriages’! It’s not just the Delhi Gang-rape or the 84-year-old being molested and killed!
Firstly let’s understand the difference: ‘Protecting a woman’ isn’t way apart from ‘respecting her’…when a woman (especially mid-wives and oldies), could take her daughter or grand-daughter for granted, how could they expect the opposite to do the honors?
Wearing short dresses isn’t an invitation for rape, but women intimidating women are the ones! Like the Middle East, no girl or woman is able to walk with her free will in this sub-continent.
Is it substantiating to take pride in bragging about being a ‘cultural hub’? This has become the most dangerous terrain for women and children!
When our people are are going to start with educating their boys to respect women, rather than forcing women to cover each and every inch with strips of robes?
