*No offence intended. I hail from India and there was a time I dreamed of these virtues in “bling” as given in the texts. To be honest, I don’t wish to debate on morality vs culture shocks in India. I’m prepared to face the music because I believe that as the representative of transition period, I’m deserved to share the brutal cultural realities in this country. No matter what, can someone deny the battle #morality vs culture shocks in India?
Why is India so bad for modern women?
They call it the “land of Gods”, with so many deities. If this is the case then, “why is India so bad for women”?
“She is a good girl, as she dons in salwar always; Neha doesn’t talk to guys. Good woman will never socialize or dress up in chic clothes! “
“Modern women in India have to cope with so many cultural struggles.” A woman is nothing more than a mound of flesh in this country.
Men and women cannot share the same morality! Epitome of culture shock in India…
This is the only place, where a woman getting harassed or raped is justified. To be honest, it’s justified under the pretext of covering up the cultural flaws.
I cannot make any difference b/w the middle-aged shop-keeper and a rapist. They pass on the same backward attitude – “a woman’s chastity entirely depends on her clothes and not upon her manners”.
Covering-up child abuse is taken for granted, whereas love and romance is evil!
A man has the access to abuse and rape his niece or nephew; on the other hand a teen cannot befriend or infatuate a guy of her kind.
I don’t think that westernization has got to do something with it because this is the reality of cultural impact in India. Where’s the space to find the morality vs culture shocks in India?
Is India willing to admit it’s brutal cultural realities?
