Night Of ‘Tandava’
Related to the great night of ‘Tandava’, Maha Shivaratri is celebrated by Hindus, as it’s believed to be the “night of destruction”. Well, according to the belief of Hindus, it’s felicitated on February 27th, as one of the biggest Hindu festivals signifying the unison of Shiv and Shakthi.
Yoni: It’s not just an artifact or phallic symbol!
Anyways, there’s something that’s walled by the patriarch culture of India. Sadly, the essence of Hindu belief is given little importance or none. How many of them would understand the significance of “yoni” on the top of Lingam? It’s so quirky that so many of them tend to forget the power of unison.
Getting married according to Manu Smriti or Shivaratri?
Let’s probe, how important it’s for someone get married? Fathom the stance of a man on his wedding night, if his woman is going to be nothing more than an aphrodisiac!
Sometimes, he considers her too sacred a material, who is just made for the purpose of fulfilling his needs, and of course bearing the seeds of his loins!
After sometime he becomes a vaccum who could neither feel his goodness nor his woman’s!
So, get married according to your belief…not just according to ‘Manu Smriti’!
Practicing or is it going to stay as a myth?
What I’m talking about is “gender inequality”. After all, Maha Shivaratri insists that the power of creation or destruction that isn’t possible without the participation of female energy.
Offering flowers and bhang is not going to honor one’s belief. People literally get intoxicated after gulping gallons of bhang; even the tint of their belief in Shakthi is intoxicated!
Hope that Maha Shivaratri 2014 would bring some change!
