How To Handle Nosy People

Now if there is one problem that nearly all of us have faced, at least once in our lives, it is “having to deal with nosy people”. Agree? Some people are just too nosy for their own good. They just can’t seem to keep their noses off everything. So How To Handle Nosy People? How to knock them off and also be courteous?

Thanks to etiquette and patience, there are two roads that one can take while dealing with nosy people.

 Taking the low road … Although it’s very tempting to chop people’s noses while they are being nosy, the low road helps us to repaying the offense with a curt response. This stops the intruder from coming up with further questions.

Now for the High way … Taking the high way is what most of us do, because, it’s the easiest way out. But it is not a very courteous thing to do. When you are experiencing the “your-nose-is-in-my-business” problem, simply ask then to “remove it” (‘it’ as in their nose). An impolite reply for an impolite question always bears like fruit. You can also set them in their places with your reply and get done with it.

Option three? …You can practice “being nice,” (despite not wanting to) and share the information the other person demanded. Then again, try doing this in such a way that the other person is not inspired to come up with yet another personal question.

Sometimes patience from both sides is the only good enough remedy to this ever present problem of nosiness.
